SolvedSeek is an independent search engine and directory for Shopify stores. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. The store index (business data)

Our directory is built from publicly available information about online stores, for example the public Common Crawl dataset and the stores' own public pages. It includes details such as a store's domain, page title, description and industry. This is information about businesses, not about you as a visitor. We may publish, share or sell this aggregated store dataset as part of operating and funding the service.

2. Information about you

We keep this to a minimum:

• Analytics: we measure aggregate usage (e.g. searches run, popular pages) to improve the service. Where this uses cookies or similar technologies, it runs only with your consent.
• Advertising: we may show ads to fund the service. Ad partners may set cookies and process data (including identifiers) only with your consent.
• Server logs: standard, short-lived logs (including IP address) for security and reliability, purged on a rolling basis.
• Contact form: if you message us, we store your name, email and message so we can reply.

See our Cookie Policy. Non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising) load only after you consent. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

4. Lawful bases (UK/EU GDPR)

• Consent: for analytics and advertising cookies and related processing.

• Handling your request: to respond to enquiries you send us.

5. Sharing and international transfers

6. Data retention

Server logs and analytics are kept only as long as needed and then deleted or aggregated. Contact messages are kept until your enquiry is resolved and for a reasonable period afterwards.

8. Our crawler

Our crawler (SolvedSeekBot/1.0) visits store homepages to build and verify the index. It respects robots.txt directives. To be excluded or removed, use the contact form.
